What Does a Material Master Data Lead Do at Tüpraş?
As part of the Master Data Management organization, the Material Master Data Lead plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and sustainability of material master data across the company. The role contributes to inventory management excellence by establishing data governance practices, maintaining high-quality master data standards, and supporting business-critical processes through reliable and well-structured data.
The position collaborates closely with multiple stakeholders including Maintenance & Reliability, Process, Production, Procurement, Logistics, and Customs teams to ensure material data is managed effectively throughout its lifecycle.

What You Will Do?
- Manage material master data processes through SAP MDG and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of material records.
- Create, maintain, and update material master data in line with business requirements and established standards.
- Develop and implement material master data policies, standards, and governance practices.
- Monitor and improve data quality across material master data domains.
- Lead initiatives related to material classification, standardization, harmonization, and data cleansing.
- Identify data quality gaps and drive corrective actions to improve data reliability.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand operational requirements and establish sustainable master data structures.
- Support inventory management processes by ensuring the availability of accurate and reliable material data.
- Contribute to process improvement, system enhancement, and digitalization initiatives related to master data management.
- Work closely with Maintenance & Reliability teams to support equipment and spare parts data management processes.
- Ensure alignment of material master data with procurement, logistics, and operational processes.
- Contribute to the development of a sustainable data governance culture across the organization.
What We Look For?
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Master Data Management, Material Management, Supply Chain, Procurement, Inventory Management, or related fields.
- Experience working with SAP environments, preferably SAP MDG and material master data processes.
- Knowledge of inventory management and material lifecycle management processes.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, and master data management principles.
- Experience in developing data standards, policies, and process improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and business teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and agile work environment.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on data accuracy and quality.
