What You’ll Do?
- Providing recommendations and oversight to ensure that refinery operations are carried out safely and in compliance with relevant laws, standards, and regulations, and supervising team members accordingly.
- Conducting or commissioning research and analysis on technological/sectoral innovations related to the field, and developing proposals to adapt these innovations to refinery operations.
- Following and executing the requirements of the Integrated Management System on behalf of the HSE department.
- Preparing monthly and annual reports for the department and ensuring their submission to the relevant units.
- Ensuring compliance with up‐to‐date legislation as well as internal company regulations, standards, and instructions related to the area of responsibility; monitoring changes and communicating them to direct reports.
- Conducting incident investigation for work accidents and near misses, identifying root causes, defining necessary preventive and improvement actions, and providing recommendations for their implementation.
- Organizing the required trainings and drills to build HSE awareness among employees.
- Conducting site inspections and risk assessments.
- Managing contractors working in the refinery regarding all HSE-related matters.
What We Look For?
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Environmental, Petroleum or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Health and Safety Department,
- Knowledge of international occupational health and safety standards (ISO 45001, OSHA etc.) and their applications
- A valid Class A or B Occupational Safety Specialist Certificate approved by the Ministry.
- Preferably having Nebosh or IOSH certificate.
- Fluent in English, able to use it actively in written and oral communication (at least B2 level),
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments.
- Strong team player with effective communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment.
- High adaptability to change and openness to innovation.
- Strong analytical thinking, communication, and presentation skills.
