Tüpraş is Türkiye’s leading energy producer and largest industrial company. Location
Our Data Analytics Centers located at ODTÜ Teknokent and ITU ARI Teknokent provide the opportunity to work on real datasets in artificial intelligence, machine learning, optimization, and generative/agentic AI projects.
What You’ll Do?
Our data engineers play a key role in the journey of transforming raw data into value‐creating insights. Core responsibilities include:
- Data Architecture & Infrastructure: Designing, managing, and optimizing big data technologies to ensure the operational continuity of analytical projects.
- Pipeline Management: Integrating data from various sources using modern ETL/ELT processes and ensuring high‐quality data flow for analytical platforms.
- Continuous Improvement: Modernizing existing systems with an excellence-driven approach; monitoring performance indicators to detect bottlenecks and implementing proactive solutions.
- Ecosystem Support: Providing the technical support and training needed to help users effectively leverage data technologies.
What We Look For?
We are looking for a technology‐enthusiastic, solution‐oriented profile with a focus on continuous development:
- Technical Foundation: Proficiency in Python, Linux, and SQL
- Data Technologies: Knowledge/experience with tools such as Data Lake (Dremio) and low‐code analytics platforms (Dataiku)
- Modern Toolset: Awareness or hands-on experience with technologies such as Apache Airflow, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Reporting: Ability to develop data models suitable for reporting based on business unit needs
- Vision: Following data engineering trends and being eager to develop technological solutions for industrial problems
- Personal Competencies: Strong analytical thinking, enjoyment of teamwork, and high personal motivation
- Travel Flexibility: Ability to participate in strategic workshops and meetings held at our refineries located in four cities (Kocaeli, İzmir, Kırıkkale, Batman) and at the Istanbul Headquarters
- Language: Good level of English sufficient for reading technical literature and communicating with global teams
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data science.
